How it works
Clinician selects the client, goes to Reports, chooses report type and date range. Generation takes 1-5 mins. The report requires proofreading and some provider input, but the heaviest work is done.
Design Process
1/ Research & understanding of user needs
There was a lot of research and user interviews conducted to better understand the flow of progress report creation, types, details and sources of the data required for it.
2/ Concept brainstorming
Initial ideas favored user-friendly in-product editing, but they required a huge eng input which wasn’t possible at that time, so we decided that the final solution should be an editable word document.
3/ Design
The generated doc report needed a clear, scannable layout, so we redesigned it from the ground up — first in Figma, then in Google Docs to support development needs. We accounted for feature placement, responsiveness, all possible states, errors, notifications, and report statuses, all built using the Tilly SaaS design system.
